Investing in a Christopher Ward watch means enjoying a lifetime of support and service, starting with our famous 60|60 Guarantee – one of the most comprehensive guarantees in the world of watchmaking.

  • 60-day free returns

    If for any reason you’re not happy with your watch, you have up to 60 days to return it free of charge, either by ordering a returns pack or, if you’re outside the UK, by requesting a refund for your shipping charges from our Customer Services team.

    For a full, no-quibble refund or replacement, the watch must be in perfect, unworn condition and accompanied by all its original packaging and paperwork.

  • 60-month (5-year) movement guarantee

    It’s extremely unlikely that your watch will ever develop a mechanical fault as it has a premium grade, Swiss-made movement at its heart. However, if it does develop a fault within five years, we’ll be happy to repair or replace the movement – provided it has been regularly serviced by our team at recommended intervals (find out more below). Please note that any work undertaken by a third party will void your warranty.

    You can return the watch to us for diagnosis either by:

    In the UK: Ordering a returns pack or,
    Outside the UK: Asking our Customer Services team to organise a free collection of your watch via our partner DHL.

    Quartz battery replacements are not considered a movement fault, while not all mechanical issues are considered faults. These include:

    • Over-winding your hand-wound mechanical watch
    • Any issues arising from adjusting the date wheel between the hours of 8pm and 2am
    • Magnetisation of your watch’s movement

    To keep your watch in good working order and covered under the terms of our 60|60 Guarantee, we recommend having it serviced every 3 to 4 years (from its date of despatch). If your watch develops an issue within 60 months of despatch, we will first check its service history before progressing a repair.

    If you have not had your watch serviced at the recommended interval, we will not cover the cost of the repair under warranty, and will recommend a maintenance service in addition to any repair work due.

  • Does bracelet resizing affect my 60|60 Guarantee?

    No, resizing does not affect the 60|60 Guarantee, but please include any bracelet links that have been removed when returning the watch.

  • Does engraving affect my 60|60 Guarantee?

    No, engraving does not affect the 60|60 Guarantee. Should you wish to return the watch for a refund, please note that we can’t refund the engraving charge you originally paid.

  • Can I delay the guarantee start-date for a gift?

    No, unfortunately we can’t offer this – the guarantee starts on the date that you receive the item.

  • Is the 60|60 Guarantee transferable if I pass my watch on?

    Yes. If the new owner can contact us with the original purchase information and paperwork, we will honour the 60-month (5 year) movement guarantee if the movement is found to be faulty and the watch was originally purchased within that time.
